Keep your heart in your pocket

is what I learnt

after the umpteen trysts

and things I watched.

if you keep the heart in chest

it is untamable, unruly

& it throbs irregularly

at silly love interests.

If she once sits by your side

or just looks with the look you know what

the heart pounds hard

And knits fairy-tales around.

Know that, you can’t be careful enough

as your heart can’t be reasoned out.

So, I always say about

Keep your heart in your Pocket.

And its even not uncommon

for the heart to pop out

at her sweet simple potion

which she might brew sometime.

And when your heart is

in her hands.

Mind you, probably she will

drop it, being uncertain.

Uncertain, what to do with

your human heart,

She JUST wants to play around

And so uncertain about the byproduct she found.

That is why I will say

Keep your heart in your pocket.

Perhaps you are thinking about the mind

like ‘I’ll think with my brain.’

Let me say like this my friend,

your brain can’t handle the heart’s helm.

The heart runs its own course

Unaffected by brain or any such cold morose.

So don’t keep your heart in the brain

nor in hands, nor the chest

but keep your heart

Deep Inside Your Pocket.
