Thailand Floods

Thailand is facing it worst floods since 1942. Bangkok's river Chao Phraya continues to swell to a record height as it swamps nearby tourist spots including the Grand Palace. Thousands of Bangkok residents are leaving the Capital. The Bank Of Thailand has lowered economic forecasts as floods increase the odds for rate cuts. The floods are adversely affecting the agricultural and industrial sectors. Exports, consumption and private investments are expected to slow down at least for now. Also Thailand being a manufacturing center for many Manufacturing Giants, the production of such organisations, like Samsung electronics and hard disk manufacturers like Seagate and Western Digital are affected.

Another major setback for Thai Economy is the effect on Tourism Sector.Tourism contributes to 7% of the country's GDP. Due to the floods, millions of tourists are cancelling their plans and the country may miss its target of 19 million tourist arrivals this year.

Types Of Microphones

1) Carbon Dust Based Microphones
These are the first kind of microphones. It uses Carbon Dust. The Carbon Dust has thin metal or plastic diaphragm on on its sides. As the sound waves compress the diaphragm, the carbon dust is pressed and the electrical resistance changes which in turn changes the current flowing across the carbon dust and thus the sound signal is encoded as electrical signal.

2) Dynamic Type Microphones
Herein the diaphragm is attached to a magnet or coil. As the sound waves moves the magnet/coil the electromagnetic field changes and thus the change in flux induces an electric current. And in this way the sound signal is converted to electrical signal

3) Ribbon Based Microphones

Here the sound waves move the ribbon which is suspended in a magnetic field. So the current flowing through the ribbon changes and the sound signal is thus turned into variations in electric current flowing across the ribbon

4) Condenser Microphones
It is essentially a capacitor whose one plate is free to move in accordance with the (pressure from) the sound waves. This movement changes the capacitance of the capacitor which is further amplified to create a measurable electric signal.

5) Crystal Based Microphones
We know that the electrical property of crystal change a their shape changes. In these kind of microphones the diaphragm is attached to crystal whose shape changes with the variation in sound waves and thus the electrical property of the crystal varies as a function of sound signal, thus providing a method to convert acoustic signals into electric signal

But you have to forgive yourself. Let go of what's bitter and move on."

Why Should we Use Typeface Georgia for Formal Writing?

1) Times New Roman, Times doesn’t read well on-screen and lacks typographic subtleties such as non-lining numbers.
2) Because it’s available on virtually all computers and designed to be readable on on-screen, try Georgia instead.
Usage Survey
99.40%  of Windows have Georgia installed
97.48%  of Mac have Georgia installed
69.67%  of Linux have Georgia installed (if this doesnt seem good, see the results for other fonts, Times New Roman is found 69.92% which is also not considerably higher given the lower readability of Times New Roman)

3) Georgia has the flow of serif fonts and hence it is good for printed medium and also it is very good for onscreen reading (the yearning for onscreen clarity was the mother of its invention).

4) At the same point size, Georgia appears larger than Times New Roman, so you’ll want to set the font size a point or two smaller. Just don’t go below 9 points.

For those of you who think it is for Oldies

It was Designed in 1993 By Matthew Carter.

May 26, 2011 Matthew Carter(designer Of Georgia Typeface) received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in part for design of Georgia font.

Headphones while exercising can be dangerous!!

Listening to music through headphones while exercising can be dangerous. Blood may be diverted from the ears to the limbs leaving the inner ear more vulnerable to damage from loud sound.[18] A Finnish study[19] recommended that exercisers should set their headphone volumes to half of their normal loudness and only use them for a half hour.[18]

Sometimes i feel cold
--------------------------------------------------

i meet somebody and i talk,
    i talk and i trust,
i trust and then i care,
    though without much flare.

  i know somebody and then,
    i give,i give all love,then,
  i guess,i guess that they
    know what love means anyway.

Then things keep on for a while,
And then it seems you are on a glide
through the sweet air of april
Over green meadows and blue hills.

Running and playing and everthing's fine.
Days slip by,everything's still almost fine
  Then a day,i find something's non-aligned.
And then one other day,i find that....

That the warmth which i seeketh
was laughed upon in their heart.
  The hearth which i seeketh
    was nowhere to be found...

  And i feel Cold.

The world seems too bare hearted
to understand the feeling of a butterfly.
 the world seems too foreign
to live and love all the while.

  Some people will never understand
what it is in just staring
at blue skies, they will never know
you don't need wings to fly.
